Terrence R Simmons
Terry Simmons is well-known for his innovative contributions to the field of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. However, much of his capability was built upon a deep understanding of Executive Coaching, Leadership Skills and Styles Development, Talent Management & Human Resources Excellence, Performance Management, Employee Selection Interviewing, Employee Development and Employee Engagement.
Before establishing his own consulting firm, Terry worked as an employee relations and recruitment officer for the Morgan Bank and as HR Director and Head of Management Resources for Squibb Corporation. He then established his own consulting firm that operated for more than 20 years and served more than one hundred Fortune 100 and Global 1000 organizations, covering industries such as advertising, energy, financial services, federal agencies, healthcare, higher education, global publishing, legal services, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, retail, technology and utilities. He has provided DEI strategic guidance and education for the executive teams at Accenture, Daimler Chrysler, Edward Jones, The Interpublic Group, Johnson & Johnson, Lowe’s, PepsiCo, Mass Mutual, MasterCard, Merck & Co, Inc., Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Saatchi & Saatchi, Scientific Atlanta, State Farm, The Economist Group, Vanguard Investments and many other excellent organizations. As a result of mergers in 2008 and 2010, Terry became a Partner with Global Novations and in 2015 became an independent Executive Consultant for Korn Ferry. Terry’s recent activities span the U.S., the United Kingdom and much of Europe.
Terry currently provides consultation as OneTeam™ Consultants and is a member of the adjunct faculty at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. He has designed and facilitated Cornell’s Advanced Diversity Strategies, Global Competencies for Diversity Leaders and Implementing a Winning DEI Process programs for senior level diversity practitioners. Mr. Simmons holds a degree in Management and Industrial Relations from New York University. He is a Certified Executive Coach and has completed additional professional training in Organization Development at Princeton University and in Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell.
